Brand and store listing
Your icon, colours, app name, and the text and screenshots the stores require.
This is what makes the app look like yours rather than a template, plus the text and images Apple and Google require before either store will accept it.
The store listing is usually the last thing people prepare and the thing most likely to hold up a launch — screenshots and a privacy policy are both mandatory.
App icon
The single most important asset, and the one most often supplied wrong.
- 1024 × 1024 pixels
- Perfectly square
- PNG, no transparency — Apple rejects icons with transparent areas
- No rounded corners — both stores round it themselves; pre-rounded corners get rounded twice and look wrong
A wide logo will not work. If your logo is a horizontal lockup with your company name beside a mark, it can't become an app icon: padded into a square it shrinks to an illegible sliver. Ask your designer for a square mark specifically — usually just the symbol, or a monogram.
App name
Up to 30 characters on the App Store. Shorter is better: on a phone home screen only about 12 characters show before it's truncated with an ellipsis.
"Sunrise Realty" works. "Sunrise Realty Property Search & Listings" becomes "Sunrise Real…".
Colours
Send us your primary brand colour as a hex code, like #0F766E. That's the minimum — it drives buttons, links and highlights throughout the app.
If you have a brand guide with secondary and accent colours, send that too and we'll use it.
One thing we'll check: very light or very pale brand colours can fail accessibility contrast requirements when used for white text on buttons. If yours does, we'll suggest a slightly darker shade for those specific elements and keep your actual brand colour everywhere else.
Logo files
- Logo for the app's header — SVG preferred, or PNG at least 500px wide, transparent background
- Splash screen logo if you want something different on the loading screen — optional
Language
Tell us the language your app should be in, and whether it reads left-to-right or right-to-left. The app supports both properly, including Arabic and Kurdish layouts.
If your language uses a non-Latin script, we'll need a font that covers it — we can suggest one, or use yours if you have a licensed brand typeface. Worth flagging: many Arabic fonts don't include the full Kurdish Sorani character set, so if you're publishing in Kurdish, tell us and we'll pick accordingly.
Store listing text
Both stores need these before they'll accept your app.
| Field | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Short description | One line, up to 80 characters (Google Play) |
| Full description | Up to 4000 characters. What the app does, who it's for. |
| Keywords | Up to 100 characters, comma-separated (Apple only) |
| Support URL | A page on your site with contact details |
| Privacy Policy URL | Mandatory on both stores |
The privacy policy is the one that stalls launches. Both stores refuse an app without a working link to a real policy covering what data the app collects. If you don't have one, your web developer or a standard generator can produce one — it needs to exist before submission, not after.
Screenshots
Neither store will publish without them.
- iPhone: at least 3, at 1290 × 2796 pixels
- Android: at least 2, at least 1080px on the short side
We produce these for you from the finished app once you've approved it in testing. Nothing for you to do here — just be aware they can't be made until the app is built, which is why they come near the end.

None of this is sensitive — ordinary email or a shared folder is fine.
